Into Forest Halls
See the sun is waking
Into Forest Halls
Clear and bright the day
Crossing paths of thyme (time)
Under full-leafed branches
Feel the gentle breeze
Taste the ripened berries
Into Forest Halls
Clear and bright the day
"Into Forest Halls" - summer version
by Debra Knodel & Jane Valencia
Forest Halls
Rooted in the lively ecology of moment, gathering, and place,
Forest Halls is a cultural mentoring project occasionally
offering bardic performance, celebration, village wisdom, healing
artistry, and nature-based learning adventures of belonging to
individuals, small groups, and community in California's San Francisco Bay
Area, on Vashon Island, WA, in Wallowa County, OR, and elsewhere,
Forest Halls originated within the harp, story, and song
performances by Debra Knodel & myself, Jane Valencia, as the harp duo Spookytree.
It has since taken on a life of its own!
"Many paths lead through the forest
All of them lead to
magic."

This website intends to be a resource for creating your own gatherings
of musical, healing, village, and greenwood natures. You'll also find
many creative expressions and musings that we hope will inspire you to
vision and map your own homeplace and wilderness within the idea of a
rewoven cultural landscape. Check back again to see what has deepened
in the forest!

I've created many harp-related web-projects & sites over the years. Just came
across this one that I remain quite proud of! $
Young Harpers Almanac. I still need to update some of the links, but
wanted to offer you this one as well.
I continue to add to the
Writer In The Wood a collection of articles,
fiction, musical arrangements, and harp workshop handouts that you
are welcome to download and enjoy.
